We carry God’s love out into our community.
The love that Jesus has for us, he also has for others, and so we want to bring that love to others. Because of this, St. Peter’s provides a variety of services and holds a variety of events to serve our community. And we are exploring further opportunities for service as well.
Our Current Initiatives
Family Book Nights (First Thursday of Every Month at 6pm)
Family book nights promotes strong families and strong literacy in our community. Come enjoy read-alouds and a family activity, and take home a free book each month.
LifeLine Screenings (September 20)
LifeLine Screening, the nation’s leading provider of preventive health screenings, offers affordable, non-invasive and painless health screenings at our facilities to identify risk for stroke, heart disease and other chronic conditions. Blood Drives (December 9, February 5)
The American Red Cross conducts community blood drives at St. Peter’s several times a year. Every blood donation could save potentially up to three lives. Register here.
Other Initiatives
Board Game Thursdays (from 1-3pm during the Winter)
Weekly game days to bring kids together and give them something fun to do throughout the cold winter season.
National Night Out (First Tuesday of Every August)
National Night Out is an opportunity to bring the community together for a cookout, with emergency responders as our special guests for the night.
Adopt-a-Highway
St. Peter’s has adopted the eastern portion of Broadway St., and holds two highway clean-ups a year.
Food Drive for the Monticello Help Center
We collect food and money to assist to those in need in our community through the Monticello Help Center.
Easter for Families
Families come together to celebrate Easter a little early with skits, crafts, snacks, and an egg hunt. Parents and grandparents enjoy participating in these activities along with the children. The event is completely free to attend.
Family Art Classes (Wednesdays in August at 6pm)
Weekly classes where parents/grandparents can learn new techniques and create new art.
Easter Breakfast
A pancake and sausage breakfast for the community on Easter morning before worship.
